Overview

Connecting your HubSpot account to Synchr.ai is the first step to automating your data workflows. This guide walks you through the entire process, from authorization to verifying the connection.

Prerequisites

  • A Synchr.ai account (free or paid plan)
  • Admin or Super Admin access to your HubSpot portal
  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)

Step 1: Navigate to Connections

Log in to your Synchr.ai dashboard at app.synchr.ai and navigate to Settings > Connections in the left sidebar. You will see the connections management panel.

Step 2: Authorize HubSpot

Click the "Connect HubSpot" button. You will be redirected to HubSpot's OAuth authorization page. Review the requested permissions and click "Grant access".

Synchr.ai requests read/write access to contacts, companies, deals, and custom objects. These permissions are required for bi-directional sync functionality.

Step 3: Select Your Portal

If you have access to multiple HubSpot portals, you will be prompted to select which portal to connect. Choose the portal you want to sync and confirm your selection.

Step 4: Verify the Connection

After authorization, you will be redirected back to Synchr.ai. The connection status should show a green "Connected" badge. You can verify by clicking "Test Connection" to confirm data can flow between platforms.

Troubleshooting

If the connection fails, check the following:

  • Ensure you have Admin or Super Admin access in HubSpot
  • Disable any ad blockers or browser extensions that might interfere with OAuth
  • Clear your browser cache and try again
  • If the error persists, contact our support team with the error code displayed

Common Error Codes

  • AUTH_SCOPE_DENIED — You did not grant all required permissions. Reconnect and accept all scopes.
  • PORTAL_LIMIT_REACHED — Your plan has reached the maximum number of connected portals. Upgrade to add more.
  • TOKEN_EXPIRED — The authorization session timed out. Start the connection process again.
